Capetonians and visitors have enjoyed Restaurant Paradiso’s hospitality since 1992.  French Restaurateurs, Marie Dischinger and Pierre Deloge took over in January 2008. Their passion, dedication and fresh ideas will ensure Paradiso remains a firm favourite in the hearts and minds of locals and visitors from afar.  
Cafe Paradiso is located in upper Kloof Street, Gardens.  With a magnificent view of the mountain

and City Centre, lunch or dinner in the garden or on the balcony will be an occasion to remember.

Relax; enjoy a glass of wine and a delicious meal.  The warm Mediterranean decor and friendly staff will bring you back time and time again.

Expect traditional French and South African specialities on our menu.  We are famous for our Pan fried beef fillet, Provencal lamb shank, Ostrich bobotie and Warm lamb salad.  Vegetable Tina, Coq au Vin, Jambonneau and Seafood Pastis are new.  The Menu changes regularly to ensure that mainly seasonal and local ingredients are used, seafood is fresh and to “amuser vos papilles” (to keep your taste buds intrigued).

Vegetarians:  
Try the Nut and Fig Pilaf, Butternut Cannelloni, Spaetzle or French buffet.

Mouth watering desserts like the Baked Ricotta Cheese Cake, Dark Chocolate Fondant and Malva Pudding with custard are temptations to enjoy all day long with coffee, tea or a glass of bubbly.

The ever popular buffet now offers a selection of cheese from a local cheese maker, cold meat, pates and different salads.  Load your plate.  The weight determines the price.

Saturday and Sunday we serve breakfast from 9H30 until 14H30:  hot or cold buffet breakfast with mushroom crepes, omelettes, bacon, sausage, fruit salad and muesli.  Finish your breakfast/ brunch with a cafe latte, baguette and Marie’s chocolate spread.

Children have their own menu to choose from and a baby seat is available on request.

Marie grew up in the restaurant industry.  Her parents own a dairy farm and popular auberge in Alsace, France.  After completing her studies at a well known Hotel school in Strasbourg, she worked at numerous venues in France before returning to Munster to open her own restaurant.

Using only fresh farm ingredients from the area and serving authentic dishes adapted from old local recipes, Marie’s kitchen quickly made a name for itself amongst the Munster culinary fanatics and the restaurant was a huge success.

Without a charming host, accountant, crisis manager, handyman, staff psychologist, relief chef and event organizer, no restaurant can ever survive.  Pierre studied Hotel management and specialized in marketing.  Together they make the perfect team.

After 5 busy years Pierre and Marie embarked on another adventure. This time they travelled 9 000 kilometres to South Africa and settled in Cape Town.
